Providing Help and Hope

Did you know that in 2020 there were as many as 5.8 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease? The CDC defines this disease as “the most common type of dementia – it is a progressive disease beginning with mild memory loss and possibly leading to a loss of the ability to carry on a conversation and respond to the environment.” Individuals that experience Alzheimer’s often lead frustrated lives as they begin to experience memory loss and confusion as their main symptoms.

In Virginia, Alzheimer’s has become a developing public health crisis with nearly 9% of people aged 45 or older encountering cognitive decline. In order to support these specific individuals in our community, the Alzheimer’s Association created the National Capital Area Chapter (ALZNCA) which serves the District of Columbia, suburban and Southern Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Their mission is to provide “help and hope to people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias and their families and caregivers”.

At Corrigan Insurance, we are passionate about giving back to our community and are inspired by the strides being made by the ALZNCA! It is for that reason that we are committing to donate $10 to this organization on your behalf for every recommendation you send to us for a no-obligation quote! With your help, we can assist them in their efforts to support our Alzheimer-affected neighbors. So, what do you say? How many names can you give?
